| Using the Fauna Europaea Database Version 2009.1 by P.J. van Helsdingen it has been possible for me to add a regional species filter for 69 European regions. With the special page for Greenland my web site thus provides the opportunity to filter for 70 regions. Hopefully this feature will help identification, as the number of species present in a given region is less than the total number of species of the regions combined. With the filter option on each family page lists species not having images thus providing clues for species to Google on the Internet if my web site fails to help you. Note that the regional lists of van Helsdingen only concern published data of spider distribution. Some regions have only few published records and some regional lists may lack recently recorded species. Data for Denmark and the Faroes has been updated with unpublished records. |
